Persuasive Slide Show
Everyone should recycle. I'll put images of how much people in the U.S. waste that could be recycle, every day, week, etc. It'll be plastic, paper, metal, etc. I'll also put some images of landfills to show how big they are. I'll do some pictures of the environment, oceans and the air to show what we are harming by not recycling. I'll start with pretty pictures of the environment oceans and sky and say some good facts about the environment. Then, I'll show picture of the bad things (landfills, waste) and talk about how much we are wasting. Then I'll do some pictures of recycling plants and talk about how much we could be saving. Then end by doing a list of simple things to recycle, and finally a happy picture of the earth.

Good clear statement. Should be easy to find tons of facts and some great images. (Look for one of the amount of cell phones thrown out in a single day (might be year). You could start with a single phone then zoom out to show the enormous pile.
ReplyDelete# Is the topic a clear statement that is not necessarily true and needs persuasion?
ReplyDeleteIt is clear--people should recycle. It might need persuasion because not everyone believes recycling is necessary. She has more than 3 facts. Three are:
1. Recycling in the U.S. is a multi-billion dollar industry that creates a lot of jobs.
2. Recycling uses much less energy than using new materials (ex. 95% less energy in aluminum).
3. Recycling prevents gases from being released into the air, helping to curb global warming.
4. They haven't been yet but will be soon.
5.She's going to zoom in then out on garbage, to show how much we really waste.
6. Good video idea megan. you're really cool
